Congratulations to the 5th grade winners of the Yearbook Design Contest. These student's designs will be on the front and back cover of the yearbook and the first and last pages. We look forward to seeing their designs in the yearbook!
All of the students at Providence Elementary participated in celebrating International Dot Day during the week of September 15th. The students read the book The Dot and discussed how they can create art from anything. The students then created their own dots using various art materials and designs.
Welcome Back! It has been great seeing all of the students again and hearing about their wonderful summers. I am excited about the awesome artwork the students will be creating this school year. I will be announcing the winners of the summer art challenge next week. Please remember to send in your papers with your students by the beginning of next week.
The third grade students had a great time today during Theme Day! The class earned a class reward, and had under the sea day. The students watched an aquarium video while working, enjoyed the decorations in the classroom, and participating in the Under The Sea Photo Booth! The Collage Station is officially OPEN! The students had a great time learning about all of the different techniques and tools they can use while at the collage station. The students have worked really hard to finish their clay projects. They are very proud of their finished projects and can't wait to bring them home! First grade students have finished their Texture Dinosaurs and Tacos this past week. They learned all about textures and how we can show IMPLIED TEXTURES in our drawings and use ACTUAL TEXTURES in sculptures. These projects turned out fantastic and the students had a great time creating them! |
